DOLCE/-VITA
Since 2021 I work as a freelance musician, composer & multidisciplinary artist in Freiburg, Germany. As musician I include keyboards, guitar, drums, tenor saxophone, and Digital Audio Workstations in my set up. As a sound artist I like to work with all kinds of (daily) noises and sound processing techniques.
I’m particularly attracted to interdisciplinary collaboration, joint creative processes and new artistic challenges to encounter. During my “sound studies” studies in Bonn (2014-2017), I became strongly interested in music outside of pop cultural contexts. I created my first sound installations, explored electronic sound synthesis, sampling & recording techniques and learned a lot about the psycho-acoustic foundations of our music perception.
Since moving to Freiburg in 2017, I’ve been mainly focusing on the production of electronic jazz music as well as composing and performing live music for contemporary dance & circus, in addition to my work as a music editor for local radio and my sociology studies. Besides two band projects (aeugen and Dining Dolphins), I worked as a musician and sound artist for Sandra Hanschitz “ein Rahmen #“, Quizzical Körper’ “What do you think about that” and for the company Onze Chambres and their dance/theatre piece “Inventaire“.
2021 I started working intensively as creative (co)-director, producer & musician with dancer Sandra Hanschitz on interdisciplinary performance art productions in our company Hanschitz & Beierer. During summer and autumn 2022 & 2023 we were touring with our circus-dance piece “IIIII – about the art of letting go”, which will continue 2024s festival season and be part of the german showcase at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024. Currently we’re working on our new circus/dance piece “still.dependent” together, which is founded by FONDS DaKu and BMKÖS among others and will premiere in autumn 2024.
