The Project “Tanzwuchs #2” creates a space for young dancers and artists to develope and present short pieces with low technical and financial costs.

During that project Andrea Lagos, Rebecca Narum, Luke Wilkins and I came together to ask ourselves: What happens when two dancers and two musicians come together and jam with four instruments?

Through the rehearsal process we worked a lot on common improvisation basics, dealt with different sound spaces and tested possibilities of interaction between music and dance in order to be able to access them as freely as possible later during the performance.

My particular musical interest in that group was it, to explore efficient ways of communicating with dancers in a musical and dance language. I developed a technical set up that enabled me to spontaneously alienate the sounds of my collaborator Luke Wilkins, edit the sound of the room noise recorded with field microphones and perform on drum computer and Synthesizers.
